Hello Randy.

I'd like to discuss with FESCo: What can I do about Fedora policies that
are not happening. Notably, I mean policies for removing cruft from Fedora.

1) Long orphaned packages are not being retired after 6 weeks:

https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/1970

2) FTBFS package are not being orphaned, nor retired:

https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/1973
https://pagure.io/releng/issue/7718

I'll be on the meeting.

Thanks.

thanks for pointing to these still open topics but promised since ages. My vote goes for you and thanks also for your effort.

It would be really appreciated to see those zombie packages being finally dropped.

Promises without fulfillment at any time are just painful. So let's go for and apply this small mass retirement.

Regards, Raphael

I disagree. If the packages still work, dropping them is a disservice for
our users. I think these mass deletions should just deliberately stop
happening.
